Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin launches New Glenn rocket on test flight

Due to ice buildup on a propellant line, Monday’s initial launch attempt was scrubbed around.

Jeff Bezos’s space business, Blue Origin, has taken its first step into Earth’s orbit with the launch of its New Glenn rocket from Florida.

In its second lift-off attempt this week, New Glenn, which is thirty stories tall, 98 meters (321.5 feet) in height, and has a reusable first stage, took off from Blue Origin’s launchpad at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at around 2 a.m. (07:00 GMT).
